How do you keep my data private?

We are so excited that you have agreed to share a bit of your lives with us, and your privacy is incredibly important to us. We take great measures to make sure that the privacy of all community members is protected.

The data from sandbox are de-identified, meaning each member is assigned a unique and random ID number so that we can separate your personal information from our analysis process. Your personal, sensitive information, such as your name, address or email address, is taken out of the database that researchers can access. Your name and contact information will be securely stored at Research Connections for administrative and customer service purposes only. This information is never shared with researchers.

To further protect your privacy, analyses of sandbox data are always shared in aggregate, or as a group, so that no individual information (even de-identified information) is distinguishable from the group.
